![]() ![]() ![]() Some of the classics on here include "The Cat Concerto" (one of the all-time classic cartoons based on a piece of orchestral music), and "Heavenly Puss" is another of my long-standing favourites. ![]() Of the six volumes of Tom & Jerry I found this to be the one with the funniest cartoons- though those on Volumes 1 and 3 are almost as good. This volume contains 26 of the 161 Tom and Jerry cartoons, from the late 1940s when the series was in its prime. However this is a must for an animation fan and for someone who grew up with these two great characters. although I would be wary of showing some of these cartoons to kids of an early age. It was great to watch these classics again. Viewers who grew up with this card and mouse duo will enjoy remembering moments like Tom trying to keep the house clean, Jerry playing a trick on Tom with the help of invisible ink, Butch and Tom going head to head in a tennis tournament and Tom trying to impress a female feline with a jazz classic.įun as always. These cartoons are from the mid-late 1940s and amongst this selection are some iconic capers, including at least two Oscar winning features. ![]()
